Espigolo · AI for databases · Beta

Your data answers.
Nobody touches a table.

Espigolo discovers what is in your databases and answers with queries that are validated before they run, always with a read-only user.

Which tables hold customer data?

3 tables in [Sales DB]:

clientes
personal data · masked
pedidos
references customers
facturas
references customers

catalogue discovered · read-only user

Illustrative example

The data is there. Knowing where, and how to ask for it, isn't.

Undocumented databases

Nobody remembers what each table holds or how they relate.

Every question, an SQL query

And someone who can write it without breaking anything.

Write access by accident

A badly configured tool can change or delete data.

What it can do

From catalogue to answer, without writing SQL.

Discover

“What is in this database and how does it fit together?”

Document

“Generate the data dictionary for the sales database.”

Ask

“How many orders did each region have last month?”

Explain

“Which query will you run, and how much will it cost the database?”

Works with PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB. Espigolo is in beta: access by invitation.

What Espigolo doesn't do

Read-only.
For real.

  • It doesn't write or delete. It does not allow data or schema changes, nor stored procedures.
  • It doesn't rely on itself alone. It connects with a read-only database user and every query is validated before it runs.
  • It doesn't keep your results. Queries and their results are neither stored nor logged.
  • It doesn't know your credentials. The AI model works with an alias for the source, never with a username or password.

Getting started

One read-only user and you're set.

  1. 1

Create a read-only user in your database.

  2. 2

Register it in your project with an encrypted connection and the database address on an allow list.

  3. 3

Let it discover the catalogue and start asking.
